Special Features

Open to the public during weekends, visitors can enjoy the diverse ecology of Little Cypress creek. This tract contains over 100 plant species and 30 native tree species, including Flowering dogwood and Black walnut. One might also spot the rare, carnivorous "sundew" plant.

A dedicated group of birders document the bird life on the preserve every two weeks. As of January 2010, there are 144 species recorded.
